20th-Century Conservation
The idea of conserving something as modern as 20th-century windows might seem totally unnecessary. But, like many other objects, relatively new windows can fail and decay, especially due to the use of post-war materials like polymer based resins, and processes, such as Dalle de Verre (slab glass set in concrete or resin), glass appliqué, glass fusing and glass printing. These bring with them their own special requirements and need the same careful recording, analytical consideration and detailed enquiry as other historic artefacts.
